Legacy & Gratitude

Part 6

It’s hard to put into words just how much one small life can change yours. That little orange kitten wasn’t just my companion in Korea — she was my reminder of home, my comfort through every storm, my laughter in the quietest nights, and the spark that lit the path to everything I do today.

After sixteen years of love and companionship, we said goodbye. It was one of the hardest moments of my life — to let go of her, her warmth, her memories, her presence. She was, and always will be, the most loving companion we and myself ever had. Her pawprints will forever remain in my heart.

Every cat I’ve cared for, every family I’ve matched with their forever companion, every step I take with Myztic KittyZ — all of it traces back to her. At that moment she leapt into my arms at the vet and chose me.

Her story is stitched into the heart of my journey. And sharing it with you now is not just about remembering her, but honoring what she gave me: love, resilience, and purpose.

So, this memoir series isn’t just for me. It’s for her — and for every pet that has ever chosen their human, filling spaces we didn’t even know were empty.

Thank you for walking this path with me, for honoring her memory with me, and for believing in the work that she inspired.

Because at the end of the day, her legacy isn’t just mine. It belongs to every kitten, every cat, and every forever home still waiting to be written.
