Our Story: The Heart Behind Myztic KITTYZ
What inspired us to start this venture? Simply put — we love animals.
As Army veterans (HOOOOAAAHHH!), our journey with pets began across the globe. While stationed in Seoul, Korea, we adopted our beloved domestic ginger tabby, Tricky. She was more than a pet; she was family — traveling the world with us and living a full, joyful life for 16 years.
After settling in Hawaii, we welcomed Odie, a sweet and mellow Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix. Odie loved the island life — especially paddle boarding and beach days with his mommy. He also lived nearly 16 years, bringing peace and happiness to our home.
The Maine Coon had always been a dream breed for us. When we finally decided to bring one into our home, we imported from Europe and were deeply inspired by the breeder we worked with. That inspiration led to the founding of Myztic KittyZ (formerly Myztic Coons) — and we’ve never looked back.
Our foundation Maine Coons embody everything we love about the breed: majesty, intelligence, and affectionate nature. They are not just cats — they are family. And yes, we’re completely addicted to this stunning breed.

Myztic KittyZ cats are under the care of Purradise Cat Care Inc. Purradise Cat Care offers a veterinary experience for your cat unlike any other in the state of Hawai`i. As a cat-exclusive veterinarian, your cat will be cared for by a professional that has dedicated their lives to not only keeping the cats of this world physically healthy, but also helping them thrive socially and emotionally.

These unsung heroes provide a second chance for thousands of cats while helping preserve Hawaii’s delicate ecosystem.
